Why do we use soy wax? Soy wax is nontoxic and burns cleaner than paraffin wax. Paraffin is a petroleum-based wax that produces black smoke which blackens your walls, furniture, and add toxins into the air you and your family breathe. Indeed, the black smoke that comes from ordinary candles (and covering the rim of the candle jar) is created by the paraffin wax itself.

What do we scent our candles with? We use combinations of essential oil and fragrance.

How do I care for my candle? There is no need to trim your wick when you get your new candle. It comes pre-trimmed to the ideal length. The first time you burn your new candle allow the wax to become liquefied all the way to the jar’s inside ring. The wick is made to form a "mushroom" top while it burns. Once your candle has cooled, trim off that "mushroom" top to lengthen the life of your wick.  And then each time you burn your candle, burn it long enough for the wax to once again touch the jar’s inside ring, trim the wick again, and repeat.

How long will my candle burn for? Your eight-ounce tin should burn for up to forty-sixty hours! Our larger candles should last twice as long. In order to obtain the longest burn time possible, follow these two steps: (1) burn your candle for two hours at a time, and (2) trim your wick to 1/4" after each burn.

How long will my tart release scent? Each tart piece should release scent for up to four to six hours. So a six-piece tart should last between twenty-four and thirty-six hours.
